Morente is Flamenco´s God (Long live Enrique)

Once up on a time, it was Camaron, doing something special.....

After his death, there was another flamenco´s singer that embrace the new line......

There it was, mr Enrique Morente. Born in Granada, Morente put the Flamenco Upsid down.

Now he is dead, but his music, his talent and his friendly is still with us.......

Hey, that music is incredible, don´t you think so with Lagartijanick

IT IS EASIER SAID THAN DONE (of course it is)

You can talk, she can says it, they can dream but....... YOU HAVE TO DO IT.

That is always the problem. And this song is perfect for that issue. Because, in the end, somebody has to do it. And it´s easier said than done.

Well, you all know that i love this group: Morcheeba. This is a song from their last cd "Blood like lemonade".

But if you have to think about an important thing, you have to put another song in your Hi-Fi from the same album.

"I´m the Spring". I know it is raining everywhere here, but for me it´s the same.

¿dont you think so?

Here it is. It´s a live and acoustic version and we love it.

Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans (Thanks John)

Yes, i know is not a good headline, but this day it´s not been a good day either. we have lost a friend. A real one, a good one. You know what i mean?

Anyway....i was thinking about what to write here in my blog. But today i prefer just to put one song to share feelings with the world.

Best persons are leaving us..... too soon, too much. Oh my Fucking God¡¡¡¡¡¡

Txema, wherever you are now (we all know you are here with us) this song is for your children Aitor and Olatz

And this is for you Susana, what a great woman. We love you

It´s a new dawn (Morning maniac music) Got to Democracy

VOLUNTEERS (Of the Basque Country)

Look what's happening out in the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Hey I'm dancing down the streets
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Ain't it amazing all the people I meet
Got a revolution Got to revolution
One generation got old
One generation got soul
This generation got no destination to hold
Pick up the cry
Hey now it's time for you and me
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Come on now we're marching to the sea
Got a revolution Got to revolution
Who will take it from you
We will and who are we
We are volunteers of America.

Where are you?

Of course it´s a new dawn, my friends. Not only for me (yes, for me too. Today is been my first day in my new job for the Basque Government), but for the democracy inside the parties (where are you mr White), for the Human Rights in Ecuador (Long live president Correa) or in Brasil (Lula is happy, He is really happy because his candidate, Dilma Rousseff, (an ex marxist and lenninist fighter) won in the first round and we hope she will win in the end).

It´s been a lot of talk about this pic. Do you remember this photo?

From left to right, Lehendakari, me and Begoña, his wife.
Author, Emilio Alfaro.

Yeahhhhh. It was taken in San Francisco, during the official journey of the lehendakari along the USA.

"Well friends, you have seen the heavy groups, now you´ll see morning maniac music" (Thanks Grace). This is my new boat and i love Grace Slick´s eyes. Think about it, just for a second.

PS. Grace Slick and Tricia Nixon, former President Richard Nixon's daughter, are alumnae of Finch College. Grace was invited to a tea party for the alumnae at the White House in 1969. She invited the political activist Abbie Hoffman to be her escort and planned to spike President Richard Nixon's tea with 600 micrograms of LSD. The plan was thwarted when they were prevented from entering after being recognized by White House security personnel, as Slick had been placed on an FBI blacklist. (Source, Wikipedia)

We can talk further about this. And i will do it; FOR SURE, CAUSE IT´S A NEW DAWN.

And if i have to put a soundtrack for this "au revoir" i will put a nice tune of Mikel Laboa. His voice and Lekeitio and this idea of fighting.

See you soon¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Where is Dorita? (Castelrio´s party) Hello we love you

The almirant and me.

Just God knows where is Dorita right now. Yesterday we had fun, we cried, we drank, we loved, we danced, we talked, we played cards (Che Guevara not dead, well at least we hope jajajajajjaja) WE ARE THE BEST. Cause, Zurbarango Eskola, Mola, noski baietz.

It´s really late now and i´m too much tired to continue writing, i know you can understand it. But here is only another pic.

Yes, Dorita is there, and Lisardo and Nati too and more and more people (The Berritzigune people too, inspectors...) that yesterday came just to say Hello Dorita we love you (Thanks Jim Morrison and The Doors)
Anyway, tomorrow i´ll continue the post...........

This is my tribe again. For months later. gorgeous, aren´t they?

These are the girls (part of them, i mean)
....An the boys toooooooooo.

We went to the schoolyard to continue the party. And we danced there. But the best thing was Mr. Harry Potter. Yes don´t get surprised, and don´t get fool either. Mr. Potter was in our School yesterday. There was black magic goin´on in Zurbaran and Mr Julen, the wicthcraft maker, the chaman, the jerk (sorry, it´s better to say the clown). We all know that is completely illegal, but who cares? or Who knows? or Who are you?

And we wen to Panera because the show must go on. And you know Panera is like a blackhole: everything is possible there. So it was. But that´s another story, pals.

Take care and good music fo today too. Hello Dorita we love you¡¡¡ (A strange version)

Neil Young is back (It´s better to burn out than to fade away) LE NOISE AND LANOIS

Thanks Molly for the pics. I have just stolen from your facebook jajajajaj.

This summer I had the opportunity to see Neil Young in the Fox Theater in Oakland (You know the Bay Area-San Francisco-Cali). Of course it was awesome. New songs, really really good. At least i recognised seven new tunes: Peaceful Valley, Love and War, Sign of Love, You never call, Leia, Gang of four and Entertaimenand the unreleased song Hitchhiker. And there they are. You can listen to part of that list in his new work "Le Noise"

That was on July, the twelve.
Then, i bought the Uncut magazine. There was a review by Bert Jansch about Neil´s USA tour (Twisted Road-They say accoustic. I say solo) And he suggested the possibility of a new album produced by Daniel Lanois. I like that guy and i said to myself: that idea could work. And it works my friends, it works.

Here you have the complete record live. The great Young, the canadian indian, the free soul. OMFG

39.09 minutes of pure Young. Enjoy it¡¡¡¡¡¡

http://www.youtube.com/user/neilyoungchannel

We can tall about this album later on. Now it´s time to enjoy it. Let´s do it.

Something good coming (For you and me)

It´s just a clue. It´s just a hint. It´s just a dream. It´s just me.

(Here is the same song but a stunning version with the Heartbreakers doin´their best)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSvlJe1mwlw

As they say, THIS IS REAL MUSIC. THIS IS AN ORGANIC RECORD, BRO´.

And take a look too at this movie (documentary, better to say) about the making off. By Sam Jones, by the way.
Remember: "... cos i can´t do all by myself"

Hey you, don´t be a sloth (Mojo-Petty)

I love that animal. Well, it is not true; i´m just lying again.

In fact, i´m preparing everything for coming back to work. And it´s fine. We have no stress post-traumatic or something like that, my friends. Last thursday i went to the Basque Parliament to see everybody. It was my first step. And i saw lots of people there. It was nice: politicians, journalists, friends, prima donnas (jajajajaja) and anything you can imagine. Is the Basque Country Parliament, my friends. It´s unique. Sometimes really boring, but others amazing (not too much)

Anyway. I can stand it. For sure. I can stand it. And it sounds great if you play one song. Rock and blues, of course. Tom Petty, could be the answer. He is not a sloth, that is clear, enve though Mojo is his first album in eight years. And you have his new cd...... Mojo to play wherever you are, bro´. It sounds like the best Led Zeppelin, don´t  you think so? Take a look

I should have known it. It´s Jimmy Page hidden out there??????

Hey, that band know how to do it¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

And here is and old tune. Sarkozy, listen to this. Who wants to live as a Refugee?????

Who Knows? Mavis and Jeff (Soul and Rock) do

The future is unwriten and we know it.

That is the reason why we salute new things like this. Take a look at this recent review in the New York Times about the collaboration between Jeff Tweedy (Wilko) and Mavis Staples (the soul singer)
We love them

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/09/19/arts/music/19staples.html?_r=1&ref=music

and enjoy the music too

Soul and rock, past and future. We love that way, yeaaaahhhhhhhh¡¡¡¡¡

Good morning everybody.

Breakfast in Bilbao (Supertramp not dead)

I have just arrived from Barakaldo, a city close to Bilbao. Now is 2.10 am in the Basque Country. And again it´s really funny because i have just arrived from San Francisco (California) and here i´m having breakfast with Supertramp. Do you remember that group?
Well. we have grown up with them and they are remembering right now the release of one of their best albums: Breakfast in America.
They are touring now and the concert in Barakaldo is been really good. The virtuosity (Amaia, the Almirant and i were thinking about that double Lp in Paris) on the stage has been incredible. Every song they played is been responded with applauses, cheers, shouts, dancings, claps and whatever you can imagine. Outstanding. People is been perfect today. And it´s funny too because Chris McCandless called himself Alexander Supertramp in his adventure in Alaska. What a coincidence, guys¡¡¡¡¡¡

OF COURSE i know Roger Hogdson is not playing in Supertramp since ?????? two decades of even more (i don´t know exactly), but it doesn´t matter. The music is there, my friend. And the tunes they have played tonight are fantastic, terrific, awesome.

And here is Roger (in 1989, along) with a scream againts the american society in USA

"What would you say if they are calling you a radical, a liberal, fanatical a criminal??????"

They have been puting all that typical images about LA(you know girls, Hollywood, the star system.......) And it´s been funny. Yesterday i was in San Francisco and today having breakfast with Supertramp.
That is life, my friends, that is LIFE.

See you soon. My jet lag is not really bad so i´m goin´to sleep now. Before the concert, we´ve been in Panera having drinks with my people. Nice to meet everybody again here. That is my tribe and i enjoy with them a lot. I´m really lucky having all that incredible people with me (and me with them. of course). I´m really lucky, i can assure it.

Last day-night in San Francisco, in Sakana (Yoko´s recommendation)

A great day and night in San Francisco. The last one.

We went again to Mission, the mexican-alternative place in the city. We love that place. Not only because of the graffitis -Josu, i think you have to go there. For you is gonna be heaven, my friend-, but for its people, restaurants, music shops (ohhhhhhh my goodness, we are really and completly broke by now) and anything you can imagine.
So far, so good.
Javi and me were thinking (dreamin better to say´) about taking a job in The San Francisco Chronicle and sharing a house in Mission (in Valencia street, for example, a lovely place to live in)
In fact, we left our CV in the newspaper yesterday. Just in case, you know?

The Staff in the Chronicle said that they are thinking about us (just kidding)

In any case, Mission and the surrondings are really impressive. Josu, i think is a good place for you. I wil talk with your mother (Karmele, think too about this idea and don´t get fool)

I was trying yesterday to contact with Steve, my teacher in LSI, Do you remember that guy? I guess you do.

But it was impossible. The cell phone number i wrote before leaving LSI was wrong and i sent him two emails but probably he didn´t check his email. So we decided to go to Mission and later on to have some txikitos (wine) with Yoko, our best photographer and a good  new friend from...... Japan of course.

A friend of Yoko recommended her a japanese restaurant called Sakana (It´s funny because Sakana is a part of the Basque Country, in fact it´s in Navarra), and we had a relly good time there, after some txikitos in a nice bar close to Chinatown.

Yoko choose almost all the dishes and the dinner was great. I MEAN GREAT GREAT GREAT

Yoko and John (sorry, Aitor jajajajajaja) And all the food too.

Well Molly is suppose to come to the SFO airport right now. Javi is in Terminal 3, i´m in Terminal 1 and we don´t know were Molly is. Molly is my afternoon class´ teacher in LSI. She is flyin today to Rome´. But yesterday she went to the beach, just to play with the animals. Look at this

Poor animal. What have you done, Molly. What a killer jajajajajaja.
How is life. Molly has just called me while i was writing this. Magic, miracles, who knows.

14 septiembre 2010

Mission is not the End of the road (Josu y 2)

We are in San Francisco again. And everything is here again: The Fog, the Meztgers (my home stay family in Berkeley) sometimes a little bit of sun, our friends (Molly, Yoko, Steve, Palm, Yong, Roy....), the homeless too, the tourists (horreur) and Mission. We went to Mission the other day and i was thinking again in Josu, Karmele. What a graffities¡¡¡¡¡¡

This is one of the artists.

Enjoy just a touch of them. I think is better than Beck and Palin (of course it is)

And this is my home stay family. They are flying to Turkey in a few days.

Dean and Ann, with a friend of mine from Turkey, Arzu.

This part is incredible, don´t you think so?

Here are the last two ones.We have more so i can show you in Bilbao, Josu

                                                                    Under the Sea

Well as i told you before, this is not the end. just another step.

Sun is shinnig in SF, so lest go. The luggage can wait (of course it can) And is gonna be a heavy one, i think all of you know what i mean, jajajajajajajajajajja.

This is Dolores Park (Mission), where you can find a rastafari smoking ganja and a family playing with their kids. Amazing.
I think Mission (Valencia Street and Dolores Park) is the new and real Haight Ashbury of the XXI century.

THIS IS THE LAST ONE, JOSU

Sarah Palin and Glen Beck: "Dont drink the Tea (party)"

Only steamed rice, Why?
We were there againts Sarah and Beck, of course. But first of all, as a good journalist, Iturri (Javi, alias Josepo) was taking his special lunch: steamed rice. Incredible.

Well, well, Aitor, WTF! You know, my friend, that i was eating steamed rice because I was concerned about I saw before. I know you are broke...but do you need to still....A T-SHIRT!!!????

But that wasn´t the worst thing i have to see this afternoon. Can you believe next pic?

Ufff, This is a hard pain, you know what I mean, my friend... a hard hard pain. But, don´t lie to your readers. What do you do after taking that photo. Ok, I was with Sarah, but...what was your company? What do you think about that?

And what about you, my friend? Playing games with the enemy jajajajajajaj

Oh My Fuckin´God (OMFG)

Well. but later on he was fighting againts the horrible couple in Anchorage. That is our Iturri (Javi) and that is his way jajajaja.

Ok, this is the war. But we will continue it in a few hours. We don´t want to lose the flight.

And we didn´t, my friend. We are now in Seattle, the place were The Starbucks began, don´t you remember?
And here we are, close to a Starbucks in the airport. And Beck and Sarah Failing (yes, it is not an error) i have writen Failing.
Take a look at these people on the demostration and the ones that are lining up just to go to the show in The Civic Center in Anchorage.

They were taking pics of the demostration and there were only two policemen. Can you imagine that in the Basque Country? Sorry, i can not.
Uuuuuhhhhh, i´m really scared.
But is all about money, folks, don´t forget that. The ticket cost between 75 bucks and 260 $. Profits
This was during the morning. Just preparing the demostration with a coffee and a cow.

Sorry, this man wasn´t there, jajajajajajaja.

It´s a new dawn in Anchorage, but Night belongs to lovers

Today is our last day in Anchorage and i want to start it with one of my favorites (favourites if you are from the United Kindgdom)tunes of Patti Smith.

Enjoy it.

PS Today is Glen Beck (the fascist) and Sarah Palin´s (i don´t know what to say about that woman jajajajajaj)show in Anchorage. What to do, what to do? Still thinking about it.

Ladies and gentlement:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uoGdx3I3dPE&feature=related

We can smell San Francisco from Anchorage (F**** Palin-Beck)

I love this girl. Tori Amos. And i love this song too. I think she has done something completely different. And that is perfect for me now.

I have remembered this song by Nirvana (which is one of Kobain´s well known tunes) and i have just remembered SF´s fog and everything.
Now it´s too late, but we are really happy. Everything is under control now and that is the most important thing.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HaAI3jI7uCc

And of course i love too Patti Smith version. You can find it in her las cd/lp. Please, click here the last part is incredible. Don´t you think so?

WE WANT THE GOLDEN GREAT BRIDGE AND WE WANT IT NOW¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

See you soon Frisco. Again with our tribe, again with our friends.

All is vanity. Northen Exposure (Doctor in Alaska)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49CEeoSg4t8&feature=related

Run towards your goals now¡ Tomorrow could be late

Ohhhhhh Thank you for your comments Molly (our first follower in the latest top ranking) and thank you to Karmele too (I was missing you so much during the last weeks. By the way, take a look at the second part of the graffitis and show it to Josu please, if you don´t mind of course. It´s been a pleasure to make that pics for him). Thanks all of you. It´s been a pleasure to read your comments during all this months. And we are still here writing and having fun. That ´s life. Or not? Who knows?

Anyway, i was decided today to post another thing in my blog but Karmele´s comment has made me think about life. Well, not only what Karmele has posted in the blog, there is another thing but..... i´m not allowed to talk about that now. You all will understand it later (in the following weeks, i mean)

But first of all i want you to see and share with us part of our journey to Seward, in the South of Alaska. We took the train in Anchorage (5.30 am stand up uhhhhhhhhh) and that was one of our best ideas (and we have a lot of jajajajajja). It´s been fantastic. We were like pioneers during the Goldrush in Alaska: everything was new and we have enjoyed the trip in the Alaskan Railways.

Take a look.

A glacier from the train. Awesome, yes.

We are feeling better today.

By the way, Shara Palin and Glenn Beck (and the tea party, i guess) are coming to Anchorage september 11th. And we are goin´to stay there, in Anchorage, i mean. You know, the meeting is really expensive. I have read today in the newspaper that you have to pay between 75$ and 250$ more or less. Fuck the Tea Party, smash the system, break the law. No ceasefire in Seward¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Yes Molly, we are plotting something to explode the meeting. But that will be in Anchorage. We are in Seward now. That is all. And we want wine again. Free-Wi.......ne for the People,

Sírvela otra vez, Patxi¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pro_Fl9shjg

And no stones in our bodies. FOR SURE¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pro_Fl9shjg

There are clues in these stories. Read it carefully, my friends.

Next hint: Doctor in Alaska.

07 septiembre 2010

Hot Springs. Is it summer in Alaska? Of course

Last day in Denali Park was great too. Of course we didn´t do the whole Stampede trail. I mean we didn´t reach the magic bus. Do you remember?

Yes, Cris McCandless
In deed, the magic bus where McCandless passed away was really far. You need one day and a half hiking to reach the bus. But we went inside the tundra and best of all, we got the best shots of the Mount McKinley. The weather was incredible and it is not easy to get that pics of that mountain from Denali Park. We did it and we were happy. Now you can see the tundra and the Highest One.

It´s huge, it´s great, it´s in Alaska. You have to go.

Iturri is happy but tired.

It was hard but don´t worry, the best it´s coming.

After four hours of hiking, we decided to go to Fairbank and later to Chena Hot Springs. Why not?

And we had good times there too. Chena Hot Springs are 350 miles away from Anchorage. Yes too far. But you know we saw yesterday too the Aurora Boreial. Can you imagine the satisfaction after too many miles of hiking and driving? I have no pics, but i can tell you that it´s a king of miracle in heaven, my friends. Outstanding and awesome. Mother Nature is still working for us. I can not understand why, because we are not treating her well, just the opposite. Anyway, enjoy while you can and live and let die, that is my motto.

Tomorrow we are going to Seward to see the glaciers. We are going by train. We will get up at 5.30 am to take it at 6.45 am. I´m goin to sleep now. Goodnight in Anchorage (Alaska)

PS. Gara, we have been without Wi-fi for skyping. I´ll try to do it in Seward tomorrow. Kssssssss

Glen Beck and Sarah Palin are planning to come to Anchorage together next 11th. And we are coming back that day to Anchorage. OMFG. We have to do something. Any ideas????? No ceasefire in Anchorage, jajajajajaja. Eat the rich, eat Sarah.
